iPhone, uPhone, we allPhone for iPhone....

Mac and Gadget geek that I am, one might say it was inevitable. My Treo 650 now sits signal-less, displaced by a shiny new iPhone in my pocket. While countless reviews have extolled it's virtues and it's faults, using it really is an impressive experience. The physical design is elegant, it's nearly indestructible, and the OS is really slick.

I was initially resistant, given that my Treo could do a lot more, and I will certainly miss it's perks. However, I will not miss Palm OS 5, and can scarcely imagine how much I will enjoy having the whole internet in my pocket.

Out with the Olds, in with the...

Well, it's been a long time coming, but I finally replaced my car. After over 8 years and 160,000 miles, my Oldsmobile Alero was really showing its age. It will be missed... it saw me through my senior year of high school, 5 years of college, and countless trips all around New England.

I looked at a lot of cars, and seriously considered the Ford Fusion, but the Saab 9-3 2.0t won out. It's awfully fun to drive, has a lot of neat features, and has really cool cup holders.

I saw it! It's Alive! It's Huge!

After the trailers played before Transformers, there was another preview, which no one knew anything about. Even reviewers and those in the know were taken by suprise. It ran without introduction, and without a title. Only a release date.

Discussion has been raging... is it Godzilla? Voltron? A tie in with the producers TV series, Lost? 1-18-08... is that the release date, or the title hidden in plain sight? Just about the only thing that is known is that it is a giant monster movie, told from the point of view of a few average people.
