Chasing plastic....

The weather is starting to improve, and that means outdoor frisbee season is just around the corner. If all goes as planned, I'll be a captain in the CUC league, and play in the Watertown league as well (in addition to the occasional pickup game).

This past weekend I played in the Lemony Springs tournament, were we did much better than last year, and this weekend will play in the final game of the Woodbridge Winter League.

Anyone is welcome to join the CUC Summer league (no experience required), and I highly recommend it.

Dropbox for everyone

I've been using Dropbox for a while, and it's one of my favorite utilities. Aside from allowing me to synchronize project file between home, work, and my iPhone, it also lets me share files with my family (also Dropbox users), and large files with anyone. It even creates instant online photo galleries by putting photos in a local folder.

It's cross-platform compatible, has lots of features, and best of all, it's free!

Old village, lots of new buildings....

This weekend I saw "How To Train Your Dragon" at Jordan's IMAX Theater.

I was really impressed. The 3D effect was great, and the rendering quality was even better. At times it looked like claymation, or even actual puppets with yarn beards. The character design, especially of the dragons, was really cool.

The voices were good. It's neat to see how animators model the CG character after the voice actor, like Jonah Hill, but they took some liberties with Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

It is one of the few movies that I would consider fun for the whole family, and best of all, not a single fart joke!
