The Green Lord of the Sith...

I guess sending stock models to artists isn't a new concept. 100 Darth Vader helmets were sent to indie artists to re-imagine, re-paint, or ruin. The results can be found online, or in a gallery in the Andy Worhol Museum. When it visits other countries, local artists add some to the mix. I especially like the furry vader.

Mmm... Sprinkes...

Leading up the the release of the new Star Trek movie, 34 models of the new Enterprise were sent to artists, designers, and directors to modify as they saw fit. The results are on display at various theaters across the country. I love the Chocolate Enterprise and the Squid Enterprise, though the un-altered design is pretty spiffy too.

May is Movie Month

Due to good box office returns last spring, studios are looking earlier and earlier in the year to premier their big blockbusters, rather than compete in a crowded summer season. This May holds a fantastic lineup of movies. Even if only a few of them live up to the hype, it'll be a great month.

May 1st - X-Men Origins: Wolverine
May 8th - Star Trek
May 15th - Angels & Demons
May 22nd - Terminator: Salvation
May 29th - Up!

I know what I'll be doing every weekend.
